Im Folgenden stellen sich die Akteure der Rotary Action Group ME/CFS vor.

Michael Werba

Chair

Prof. Michael Werba has served as Principal Bassoonist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera since 1977, and is a highly respected international professor and musician. Alongside his distinguished artistic career, he demonstrates strong leadership as President of the Rotary Club Mödling. He actively supports people affected by ME/CFS with perseverance and deep compassion, advocating for greater awareness and funding for research. His commitment reflects artistic excellence and a heartfelt dedication to improving the lives of those living with this severe disease. His artistic training and international experience foster vision, collaboration and the ability to inspire a variety of stakeholders. He provides strategic direction, ensures cohesion across working groups, and represents the Action Group with integrity and credibility.

Paul Jankowitsch

Vice Chair

Dr Paul Jankowitsch brings extensive experience in international corporate governance, academic leadership and Rotary constitutional expertise. His leadership background is a valuable strategic asset for the Rotary Action Group for ME/CFS. A past district governor, he currently serves as Austria’s representative to the Council on Resolutions (COR) and the Council on Legislation (COL). He was also Past Chair of the Executive Board of the Intercountry Committee (ICC). His expertise in Rotary governance, constitutional processes and international cooperation ensures strong alignment with Rotary International standards.

Matheo Buzzi

Secretary

The Secretary is a Rotaractor of the Rotary Club of Graz, Austria, and is a highly valued member of the Action Group. With his strong technical knowledge of innovation and IT systems, he brings a modern digital approach to governance processes. He oversees documentation and archives, takes minutes and keeps records, manages internal and external communication, circulates official invitations and monitors membership data, doing so with precision and reliability.

Stefan Fattinger

Treasurer

Dr. Stefan Fattinger, geb. 30.3.1955 in Graz, verheiratet, wohnhaft in Graz Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der KFU Graz zwischen 1973 und 1978, anschl. Assistent am Institut für Revisions- und Treuhandwesen, Dissertation 1980 1984 Wechsel in die Steuerberatung, ab 1998 Steuerberater und ab 1992 Wirtschaftsprüfer, Partner bei AUSTIN BFP Wirtschaftsprüfungs- u. Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in Graz bis 2018, danach bei BDO Steiermark bis 2020 Mitglied des RC Graz-Schlossberg seit 1995, Obmann des Rotary-Österreich-Projekt Verein.
